Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

As the Legal Assistant at the front desk of our firm, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, playing a vital role in the efficiency and professionalism of our daily operations. Your day will include a variety of administrative tasks to support our attorneys and staff, including:

  • Greeting clients and answering phones with professionalism and care
  • Scheduling new client consultations and internal appointments
  • Managing the Firm calendar and confirming meeting details
  • Overseeing the new client intake process and conducting conflict checks
  • Preparing and distributing mail, scanning documents, and managing e-filing
  • Supporting billing activities (e.g., processing credit card payments, drafting subpoenas, closing letters)
  • Maintaining an organized and tidy office environment, including conference rooms and breakroom
  • Assisting attorneys, paralegals, and leadership team members with various clerical needs
  • Supporting file closings and maintaining supply inventory

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a legal assistant or receptionist, ideally in family law
  • Someone who is organized, dependable, and enjoys client interaction
  • A team player who pitches in, shares ideas, and is energetic and optimistic under pressure
  • Comfortable with case management software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and ideally Clio
  • A strong, confident and can-do attitude who enjoys working with other highly motivated firm members
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of general office or legal experience required

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour
