Myra S. Dutton

Education & Family Law Attorney

For more than 25 years, Myra Dutton has helped families and individuals navigate complex legal and educational systems. As a dedicated education attorney and disability rights advocate, she focuses on ensuring that every client receives the support and solutions they deserve.

Throughout her career, Myra has strengthened communication between families and service providers. When those relationships break down, she steps in to restore trust and cooperation. Her approach centers on finding practical solutions that serve her clients’ best interests.

Myra has represented students in cases involving the IDEA, Section 504, and the ADA. From the first complaint through state or federal appeals, she guides families through each step with knowledge and compassion.

In addition to litigation, Myra also handles juvenile court matters, guardianships, and disability trusts. She enjoys tackling challenging issues and brings a thoughtful, solution-oriented mindset to every case.

Outside the courtroom, Myra provides education and training for parents, school staff, healthcare providers, and community advocates. Her presentations make complex legal topics clear and empower others to advocate effectively.

Earlier in her career, Myra served as a nonprofit CEO and higher education administrator. Even then, her focus remained on advocacy and helping families find a way forward.

When she isn’t working, Myra volunteers in the community. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her three children and two grandchildren.
