Shawna Walker hails from the east side of Michigan, specifically Detroit, but moved to Grand Rapids to pursue her education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University and a Master’s in Communication from Grand Canyon University.
Shawna gained valuable experience interning at Kent County’s Legal Assistance Center and the Public Defenders’ Office. She has over three years of experience as a paralegal, specializing in family law, criminal law, probate, estate law, and workers’ compensation.
Outside her professional life, Shawna is dedicated to mentoring girls ages 12-18. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.
